True West

This poster was created for True West by Sam Shepard, a play produced at my college. The design captures the chaotic relationship between the two brothers while reflecting the raw, gritty energy of 1980s America, the era in which the play was written.

The poster combines bold typography, layered textures, and 80s-inspired visuals to emphasize tension and conflict. The imagery draws from symbols like burnt toast, a coyote, and fragmented perspectives, creating a design that feels intense and unsettling while still visually striking.

The project extended into the tickets and program cover, keeping the same aesthetic to build a consistent identity across all materials. Every detail was designed to reflect the play’s atmosphere and draw the audience into its world.
